Bio: Dr. Ranasinghe joined Kogod faculty in 2020. He obtained his doctoral degree from University of Houston and previously worked as a faculty member at University of Maryland, College Park and Singapore Management University. Dr. Ranasinghe’s research interests include hedging and derivative instruments, voluntary disclosure, and executive as well as rank-and-file worker compensation. His research is published in leading accounting journals such as The Accounting Review, Review of Accounting Studies, Accounting Horizons, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, and Journal of Accounting, Auditing, Finance. Dr. Ranasinghe’s teaching interests include managerial accounting and financial accounting.
