Abdullah Adnan Khusifan, an S.J.D. graduate of theÌýÂ鶹´«Ã½ Universality Washington College of Law, finished his dissertation titled, "The Legality Under International Human Rights Law of Rehabilitation of Detainees Imprisoned for Terrorism." His dissertation sought to determine the legality, under International Human Rights Law and International Humanitarian Law, of subjecting persons who are detained for suspected terrorist related activities to programs intended to rehabilitate them. The study proposed an ideal programÌýfor rehabilitating extremistsÌýby means that are consistentÌýwith the standards of the International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law. Since 2002, Dr. Khusifan has been a member of the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. He has experience with a variety of criminal cases such as kidnapping, homicide, and drug offences as well as cases involving national security.Ìý
