Samantha Namnum Garcia

Samantha Namnum Garcia, an S.J.D. Candidate at Â鶹´«Ã½ Washington College of Law, is currently working on her dissertation entitled, "The Inclusion of Participatory Planning Models and Cooperative Federalism Strategies, that Could Lead the Formation, Application, and Compliance of Effective Public Policies for Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection at the Local Level." Her fields of work include: International Human Rights Law, Environmental Law and Policy, International Environmental Law, and Fundraising.
In her native country she was head of the Central and the Valle de Bravo Office in the Mexican Environmental Law Center (Centro Mexicano de Derecho Ambiental) from 1999-2015. She was also a professor at the Masters of Law and Environmental Policy - Universidad del Medio Ambiente, Campus Valle de Bravo from 2013-2015 and a volunteer at Mazahui A.C from 1994-2015. As a volunteer at Mazahui A.C, she supported indigenous communities, "Mazahuas," in the development of different projects regarding and in connection with environmental and human rights issues.Ìý
