Bio

Adam M. Katz is a retired tax partner formerly with PricewaterhosueCoopers LLP, New York, and has over 35 years of experience assisting US and foreign-based multinationals with corporate international tax planning and transfer pricing, including three years on assignment as US tax senior manager in London. Adam was a founding partner of PwC's financial services industry transfer pricing practice, having served as global leader for over 12 years. Adam also coordinated transfer pricing and international tax policy (e.g., monitoring and commenting on OECD projects) for PwC’s global transfer pricing tax practice.


Adam has extensive experience in a variety of corporate and international tax areas, and on related accounting issues. His work includes global tax planning, corporate structuring, and tax controversy and dispute resolution matters in the cross-border context, such as representation before the IRS and other taxing authorities. Since 2005 through his retirement in 2021, Adam has received annual mention in the Legal Media Group’s Expert Guide of the World’s Leading Tax Advisors in Transfer Pricing.


Adam earned his LL.M in Taxation from New York University, his J.D. from Â鶹´«Ã½, Washington College of Law, and his B.A. in Accounting from Rutgers University. Adam is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars and is a CPA in Virginia, New York, and Maryland.


Adam is accredited through the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) Bridge Program as practitioner faculty, and is an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University Law Center, Â鶹´«Ã½ Washington College of Law and Kogod School of Business, George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School, and Seton Hall University School of Law.


Adam is certified in Corporate Board Governance through The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Aresty Institute for Executive Education, March 2021.
