Benjamin Nussdorf is an Attorney-Advisor in the Office of the General Counsel at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. He has taught Oil and Gas Law since 2013.
From 2008-2010, Mr. Nussdorf was a Presidential Management Fellow in the Department of the Interior, where he worked on offshore oil and gas leasing, management, and policy. During his Fellowship, Mr. Nussdorf had detail positions at the Office of the General Counsel for Energy Projects at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the Office of the Solicitor of the Department of the Interior, Division of Mineral Resources. From 2010 until 2012, Mr. Nussdorf served as the Regulatory Liaison for the Office of Natural Resources Revenue at the Department of the Interior. From 2012-2014, Mr. Nussdorf was a Senior Policy Analyst at the Bureau of Land Management, Energy and Realty Directorate. From 2014-2021, Mr. Nussdorf was the Senior Regulatory Advisor for the Office of Oil and Natural Gas, in the Office of Fossil Energy at the Department of Energy in Washington, D.C. He worked on legal and policy issues focused on the import and export of natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and other related products. During his time at the Department of Energy, he received at President's Management Council Rotation Opportunity to work in a detail position in the Office of Hearings and Appeals at the Department of Housing and Urban Affairs.
He received his J.D. from Â鶹´«Ã½, Washington College of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.
