Laurence Burgorgue-Larsen

Professor Laurence Burgorgue-Larsen has been on the Constitutional Court of Andorra since January 2012, serving as its President between 2014 and 2016. Professor Burgorgue-Larsen is a Professor of Law at the Sorbonne Law School (Universite de Paris 1).

Professor Burgorgue-Larsen is the Director of the Collection “Cahiers européens” by the French editor Pedone and member of the Advisory Board of numerous law journals. She researches and teaches in the areas of Human Rights Law, Comparative Constitutional Law and European and International Law. Her diverse publications appeared in three languages, mostly focusing on aspects of regional human rights: she is the author of La Convention européenne des droits de l’homme (Paris, Lextenso, 2015, 2ème ed.); and El diálogo judicial. Máximo desafío de los tiempos jurídicos modernos, México, Porrúa, 2013, 315 p. (Col. Instituto Mexicano de Derecho procesal constitucional); and co-author, with A. Úbeda de Torres, of The Inter-鶹ý Court of Human Right. Case law and commentaries (OUP, 2011). She has also edited several collections of research papers, including Le défi de l’interprétation de l’interprétation et de l’application des droits de l’homme, Paris, Pedone, 2017. She has been invited to teach at numerous Universities in Europe, Africa, and in various Latin 鶹ý countries.
